The Brief
Peridon Retirement Homes came to Balance with a brief to make them a website that fulfilled a number of functions. Firstly they wanted to advertise their high quality retirement villages in a way that made them appear what they were, well equipped, fun, villages for active retirees without using all the usual cliches.
Secondly, they needed a complex interactive booking system for a number of houses and units that were available to their tenants to book for holidays or overnight stays in the city. As they had a number of villages and anyone from any village could book a stay in one of the houses, they wanted to avoid the inevitable double bookings that were occuring through a manual system.
Our Solution
Balance designed a site that reflects the atmosphere of Peridon, that is still fast loading. It is a clean, impressive looking site, that combines graphic excellence, ease of use and effective technology. The site works because we carefully choose graphics which while "ambient", effectively represent the mood and atmosphere that was required; because we took time to test the site with sample typical users, adjusting the site to make use of their suggestions. A sophisticated booking system totally automates the reservation of any of the rental properties, calculating the cost and confirming the dates in real time.
