www.foodwatch.com.au

The Brief
A long time client, nutritionist Catherine Saxelby first had us build her a site for her company Foodwatch in 1997. She wanted a site to spread the word about healthy eating as she was well known as a reliable, reputable, non-affiliated source of information on health and eating. The site could also serve as a selling tool for her books, but that was not to get in the way of the reputation for useful, factual information.

Our Solution
We built Catherine's first site as an easy to navigate, information heavy site, carefully structured so that it was simple to find information. The site has always grown, as various new articles and topics of interest have been constantly added, and indeed recently we completely redesigned the site and added some tools to make it easy for Catherine to maintain parts of the site herself, as well as an extensive self populating FAQ system and an email newsletter tool to enable Catherine to easily distribute her monthly newsletter. We also enhanced the users ability to effectively search the entire site. The site is world famous as an unbiased source of factual information and gets hits from an astonishingly wide geographical base (more than 120 different countries at last count - does your site get visitors from Latvia, Caicos Islands, Georgia, Qatar, Maldives, Iceland, Brunei, San Marino just to name a few) and innumerable universities and other educational institutes.
