They wanted a site for designers to access technical information and to promote their services. Our Solution SCI particularly wished to tailor their site to the end users they were interested in virtually all of whom use large screens at high resolutions. Combining this fact with their desire to present high quality images of their work and to exactly control the layout of images and text, Balance created a site that is all graphics and requires a screen set at least 960 pixel wide. While this flies in the face of accepted ideas of how a website should be designed, we felt that in this case it was warranted. There are times when breaking the rules is the right thing to do. We spent a lot of time getting the large graphics files compressed as much as possible without losing quality and the result is a stunningly good looking site.
