alternative designs/sub pages

The Brief
Tamworth Council approached Balance through a tender process, which we won on the strength of our work for Inverell and Fairfield councils and our willingness to adapt our core product to the client's needs. They required a new site which allowed the council staff to edit the content of the site and to be able to add and delete both pages and sections to the site without any knowledge of html. As well they wanted a design that reflected the spirit of Tamworth, the country music capital.

Our Solution
While we had built the engine of this type of site for Fairfield, the site that Tamworth wanted necessitated quite a lot of customisation to be able to do everything that was required. Their needs required a completely new menu system, several new functions and support in transferring the content into the site. We visited Tamworth several times to liaise with the council staff and to get the feel of the city, did a lot of development work on our content management system and designed a site that captures the Tamworth that all country music fans have come to love. Tamworth have total control over the content and structure of their site, being able to both add, edit and delete content as well as add new sections to the site and have those additions immediately appear in the navigation system.
